SWA: Week 6

I had such high hopes for these guys. They were on a 3 flight winning streak and I had imagined they might get to .500 today, but alas, for reasons out of their control (of course), they were a half hour late, so now it's 5/11. They're doing worse than the Dodgers.

The A/C was out at the Ontario airport. Nothing I like better than standing around feeling sweaty with other sweaty people. Miraculously, there were no young children. Yay! (They would have suffocated.)

Tomorrow I'm going with Caitlin to her X-Country meet at Hurricane High School.

No A/C!!! That is aweful and smelly.

How did the cross country meet go? What races does Caitlin run?

love you,
Martissa

The meet was lots of fun. There are four races...boys and girls varsity and jv. She runs jv. The course is something like 3 miles. It was very painful to watch. Most of the kids looked like they were going to die by the time they hit the finish line, but a couple minutes of standing still and some water seemed to revive them like thirsty plants. I can't believe any of them would want to do it again, but so it is.
