The Pool is NO more

So here are the before, during, and after shots of our pool demo. It was really stressful while it was happening. They had a couple of trucks in the street and a huge pile of dirt and so everybody who lived past us in the culdesac (sp?) couldn't get past our house and had to park in front of someone else's house. Because of this we made cookies for all the neighbors and dropped them off to say sorry. This is the second time we have disrupted the neighborhood. Hopefully the cookies smooth things over so no one hates us! Our side yard is completely trashed. We don't know if the grass will ever come back from being smash with the tractor so much. Also all of our planter boxes are pretty much ruined so we don't know if we'll take out all the plants and just put grass in or if we'll replant and try to get the planter boxes back. Who knows, but for now our backyard is very unusable.

Our grass never recovered from the skidsteer so yours may not as well. But the good thing is that you have an awesome new yard to play with. What potential!!

Boy that really did take up your whole yard didn't it?!!

Hopefully they packed the dirt in tightly or you will have a sunken backyard by the spring. :(

Good luck with the grass!

stef, in the third picture down it shows cement all around the pool. did it get taken out? I don't see it in picture 5. I think you will love your big back yard.

Hopefully they took it out and didn't dump it in the pool. Did they roll your dirt with one of those big roller things? When we first moved to California the owners of the house we rented filled in their pool and then it proceeded to sink for the next three years. Air pockets and dirt settling down into all the nooks and crannies. Just don't be playing football out there anytime soon or you might wrench an ankle.

I love it! Your backyard is huge. You guys are nice to make cookies for the neighbors. I am sure that cured any inconveniences they had!
