We have confusing weather. In the mornings and evenings its cool enough to warrant a jacket and/or sweater with temps in the high 40's and low 50's. We even kick the heater on in the house sometimes. But during the day it gets up into the 70's and when your hiking you warm up really quick, hence we look warm as we are.
