Our Corn Wall

Well our corn is coming along. Some of it is taller than me! Based on when we planted it, we should be able to harvest it in the middle of September. We hope this goes well because we sure love corn on the cob!!!

That is so amazing! I went on a hay ride a few weeks ago and saw a corn field close up and it is incredible to me how it grows! Good job you guys.

We were lucky our corn grew higher than Grace! But then again, I don't remember how tall you are Stefanie! I hope it is tasty.

We were told that the rule is "knee high by the fourth of July". If you get that, then you are pretty sure to reap a healthy crop. Did you get yours in late Stef? It does look quite tall. There are people who garden here in Apple Valley, but it takes gobs of water, all of which you pay for. Not sure if it works out to be a good economic decision or not.

We didn't plant our corn late. There are different times you can plant corn. We were later than the farmers around here but still in the corn window. We haven't had to water much because it has been raining at least once a week but usually more often than that.
