Our Babies are Kissing
My sweet Paisley says the cutest things. I think it is incredible the things that she thinks up in her head and then spits out. Paisley has said that just like mommy she has a baby in her tummy (but hers is a girl) and so today when we were hugging she said "Mommy, our babies are kissing." Because our tummies were touching she is smart enough and cute enough to come up with that. I love that cute Paisley girl and is happy that she loves our "babies."
Goodbye WalMart!
When we moved to Utah, despite all my efforts to obtain a part time bookkeeping job, there was none to be found. It all worked out alright as WalMart did hire me to be a cashier. They didn't make me work Sundays and I could work while the kids were in school. Just about perfect. When we moved down here, I went from working at a Superstore to working in a neighborhood market where things are handled differently. There were/are no 4-5 hour shifts. My part time hours were combined into 3-4 9 hours shifts. UGH. Not only that but they had me working mids usually from 10-7. Not only was I gone alot when the kids were home but every Saturday too. As many of you know, James and Lauren could not find a job around here. Jobs are slim pickins. I have remarked that the only people who gets jobs around here are those who know someone. In fact Daniel got his job due to us knowing the general manager of Applebee's.
Our home teacher co-owns a Service Master. This is a business that steps in after a commercial or domestic fire or flood and cleans up your house/business. They also have a web retail store. Anyway, he approached Lewis and I about possibly hiring me or at least requesting I submit my resume to them. He thought the position would be open in about 3 weeks. Four days after he told us this, he called to say they had let go their bookkeeper, could I come fill out an application. We were in Utah so I promised I would do so on Monday. I did and they offered me a full time position last week. I turned them down. Lewis is going to be traveling alot to Tennessee. We decided we didn't want me gone any more than I presently am.
WalMart has cut my hours back from 32 to 28. Service Master called yesterday to ask if I would work for them Part time, from 8-2. I said YES!! That puts me home when the kids are home (actually before they get home) and I get my weekends back. Hurray! This was a real test of faith but it sure has turned out to be a HUGE blessing. I start on Monday.

No Lewis hasn't forgotten Caitlin's Birthday
He is just in Tennessee all week and hasn't had time to do the research neccesary and to post. He returns tonight. He is now the #3 guy at Nutro and as such will be traveling for a minimum of a week each month to Tennessee. He now has an expense account and Shelley and Stephen reminded him to sign up for frequent flyer/hotel/car rental miles. Which he did and wallah, due to all his traveling before already got a free ticket. Woo hooooo. We are hoping to do a Hawaii shop for the Lamberts. We look forward to having him home again.

HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY TO CAITLIN
Yes, I am a day early but one must do what one must do when trying to beat Lewis out at being first to send birthday wishes :).
Dear Sweet Cait, how we love having you as part of our family. What a joy you are to all of us. I have gotten to know you better since Laurens departure. We have had lots of alone time and its been such fun to talk and chat and share stuff. I love running with you and look forward to running with you when I am old and gray (perhaps never gray thanks to Nice n Easy). I wish you joy and happiness on your birthday. I hope you have fun on Friday. We will head down the hill to grab the bff's and come back and party. Please know you are loved and appreciated.
God Bless you today, tomorrow and always with many more birthdays.
Love you, Mom

A Very Happy Unbirthday
Since Paisley is new to primary she doesn't quite understand everything that goes on there. On Sunday we had a birthday so we sang the birthday song and this really distressed her. Last night as we tucked her into bed she said that she wanted to go to primary and have everyone sing happy birthday Paisley to her. Then she went on to talk about cake, balloons and candles and the works. So I told her today we could have an unbirthday party for her, and she was very excited. All day she has talked about it. Today we made birthday brownies and she got to blow out a candle and make a wish. She is very happy to celebrate her unbirthday!
Making Pizzas
Tonight for dinner we made english muffin pizzas. Paisley was so excited to create her very own pizza and she also took over the task of creating daddy's as well. She has had a blas watching the cheese melt in the oven and I'm sure she'll be even more excited to eat them (they are currently in the oven).
Cute side note: The other night during scripture reading Jason said the name Alma in one of the verses and Paisley said " Wait! You said Elmo??" Jason laughed and said "no, it's al-MA" So now whenever paisley says Alma she emphasizes the MA. It's pretty cute!

Wonderful weekend
Lewis and I got off earlier than we had anticipated Friday and got up to St George early enough to take Lauren out for dinner, lo and behold, James and Jenny got into town right after that and joined us. We had a good dinner and separated for the night. The next morning, Patrice brought James and Jenny to the race where I met up with them. They ran and Patrice and I walked. We all finished and then went to meet some running friends for lunch at 2 Fat Guys Pizza. Yes that really is the name of the place. We had a good lunch then all went back to where we were staying for showers. James and Jenny then joined us at the hotel where we proceeded to chat and get to know each other better for about 2 1/2 hours. We then headed to the Lamberts for a visit and to drop off Laurens chest of drawers and night stand. We visited with them for an hour or two. James and Jenny couldn't stay long but they were there too. Then we headed out to spend dinner with Lauren once again for some family bonding time. We returned to the hotel and headed back to California today. We had a wonderful time and love Jenny almost as much as James does. We wish them happiness what ever happens.

Meeting the potential other Jen Whelchel
This Saturday is Painters Half Marathon in St George. I am driving up for it. James and Jenny are driving down for it. Who is Jenny? Jenny is James girlfriend. They are officially courting. I will post a picture of the two of them together this weekend. I have texted with Jen and exchanged internet communications but this will be my first meeting with James intended. I am impressed with what I know of her. She has a full ride scholarship to BYU and is in her junior year obtaining a degree in education with desires to be a teacher. I'll tell you more later after I have spent a few hours with her. Wouldn't it be fun to have two Jen's?

Yeah, Almost out of Primary
I am almost 12. I can finially not go to primary. Well anyway, we got now teachers again, just like any year. I miss my other teachers too. I am tired of having to have different teachers almost every month because they keep on being released!!
Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam!
As Paisley is now in her 4th of life we are excited for her new step into Primary. She is the youngest and newest member of primary in our ward. Today she had a lot of fun as you can tell with her great accessories from primary. Sharing time was a fun treasure hunt which captivated her attention. During singing time her and her cute sunbeam friends were being ballerinas and twirling all around. This morning on the way to church as we talked once again of her joining primary she said "I won't go, I hate it!" very forcefully. After such a fun day I think she will be really excited to return to primary each week.

Grace Spencer's Official Internet Singing Debut
We had a wonderful visit with everyone. It was a pleasant surprise to find the Spencers there. We didn't realize that we would get to see them too. Woo hoooo. The company was exceptional, Davids prime rib delectable. Wish everyone could have been there. Graces singing debut didn't turn out. As you can see from the video (has no sound) I am clueless as to why this happened. She sang so well too. As you can see she had great difficulty standing still while she sang. Oh too cute. Enjoy her bouncing if nothing else.

New Initiates into the Polar Bear Club
Please join us in congratulating the newest members of the Polar Bear Club begun many years ago by Jan Whelchel and Michael Spencer.
Dead Blog
Alright, the large majority of people had off for the holidays. Another good portion don't even work, and the ones who do certainly didn't work on New Years or Christmas, so what is the reason noone is blogging? I guess if the truth be told, only so many people participate anyway. We need more pictures and more posts. Layne and Jen, how was your Christmas out on the east coast? Did you see Jen's family? We never did get one single post about the cruise, what happened with that? Not one picture? Its a new year, new beginnings, inquiring minds want to know......
