These are Vallen's finches, mother Summer and father Autumn. We have owned them for about 5 weeks now. The egg is supposed to hatch in 14 days. We will keep you posted. The egg is in the nest on the back left of this picture.

Birds huh? Are they noisy and messy? Good job Vallen! I am sure you are a great bird mom!
Lewis and I had finches when we lived at UCI. We had lots. Then we didn't. LOL. The ones we had the longest were the prettiest too, he could probably tell you their names, I just know they were light blue in color and beautiful. They were male and female and we had eggs all the time, but they never hatched. If hers does, its a big deal, because they need special conditions to do so. Goodluck Vallen, I hope you get a baby!!
