Pictures of James

We wanted to share the pictures of James we received. The one that is close up accompanied an email James sent to us and that is why we decided to bring him home. But as you figured out by his email that we sent out last night, he no longer is interested in coming home. He continues to get stronger and is back in the field and working. The Lord truly is merciful and generous with His blessings.

Oh Derrick, I am so sorry you are out of the loop. Can you email me with your email so I can keep you up to date with things.
James was in a reallly awful bike accident last Tuesday. We have been round and round about whether he would stay in Taiwan to finish his mission or return to the states for treatment and then go back out. As of today, he is staying there. He is regaining his strength and back out doing missionary work. As of last night his pain is never over a 2 which is a huge improvement. He is so thankful for all the prayers and support he has received and feels the power of everyone's faith.

I am so glad he is healing and getting stronger and the pain is lessening! What a blessing if he will be able to stay there and finish his mission while he heals.

Did he hit a car or something? Rebecca said he broke his upper jaw bone. What else did he break? looks like some teeth too. That's great that he can stay. I bet there are good doctors there too, and i bet the mission president knows who they are. Mission presidents are great. My email is the same: derrick128@sbcglobal.net I get his letters you type up and email to everyone sometimes so i'm preaty sure you have it.

I might have, but if you didn't hear about this before now, then I might have lost you in my recent browser switch.

He hit the pavement with his face. He fractured the upper jaw and got 32 stitches in his chin as well as lost 2 teeth for sure, with another one in question. Yes the care there is superior to ours here at least in dentistry. There if you lose a tooth, they don't even think about partials but automatically go with the implants. Here they are considered an extravagance and are very costly, there, everyone gets them and they aren't as expensive or as risky. Right now, he is just trying to recover without jeopardizing his health. He is back to the missionary work but takes a break when he needs too. He gets stronger each day and I am eager to hear how he is doing tomorrow as it will be over a week by then.
