Technology
Well Mom and Dad have left the stone age and welcomed in the 00's (that's how I say the 2000's ya know like the 90's) Anyway, last night we become DSL users here in Palmdale and this is definitely the best thing since sliced bread! Its incredible. I talk on the phone and blog at the same time, we upload pictures in seconds (that's why there is a sudden increase in activity from this house) I LOVE DSL! I don't know how we ever survived with dialup. So congratulate mom and dad next time you see them!

Good job mom and dad! We advanced advanced yesterday to a house with 2 whatever they are called so that both our computers can be using DSL at the same time. Makes me working from home and Derrick's internet classes easier to accomplish. Good job smiths!
Way to go Becki. We want to do that too so that jason and me can sit side by side in the office and both be online, how do you do that? Do you have to buy special software?
It's called a router, i think. when you get DSL you get one router. if you want to have another computer able to use DSL also, you buy another router at Best Buy for $30.00. Derrick knows all the details; he set ours up last night.
We have cable and I will NEVER go back to dial up. Even dsl annoys me. We have it at work through sbc and it goes down or lags more often than not. I can count on one hand the times we have had problems with our cable in the 4-5 years we have been using it.;)

We feel very "with it" now that we have dsl. Layne nearly fell off his chair when I told him. This weekend I hope Stef and Jason will give dad and me lessons in posting, replying, and we want to get whatever that thing is so both of our computers can be on line. Dad uses it a lot for his stamp collecting. sure do love all of you!
