Here are some activities we have been participating in the first 2 days of the reunion. Our first Nauvoo activity was taking a wagon ride around Nauvoo with narration on all the houses and other buildings. This tour helped us decided the things we really wanted to see.
Then we took in a couple shows in the historic cultural hall. They were really good although Jason and I have yet to finish a show thanks to Mr. Jarom. Everyone else said they all ended well.
Today was our temple day in the Nauvoo temple. It was fantastic! We decided afterward to take some pictures with everyone with Jarom in his blessing outfit. Jarom is getting blessed on Thursday so those pictures will come when the event happens. We were just getting a head start with the pictures so we don't have to make everyone get in church dress again and head to the temple. (p.s. the humidity today is OUTRAGEOUS, hence me looking weird, but oh well).

Pre-reunion Party and on the Road
The Spencer's came to Kansas for the pre-party. We had fun playing and having an outside bbq.
We sure had to bring a lot of things. We're so glad we have our minivan and that we didn't have to rely on the corolla to get us there.
Jarom has been a good traveler. He definitely has extended our driving time, but we have all needed to stop when he was ready to eat so it has been nice.
When we finally arrived in Illinois the Mississippi river was a beautiful welcome. We really enjoyed the scenic route along the river into Nauvoo.
This was a beautiful surprise as we rounded a corner. I had to hurry and get the camera out as we drove by became it snuck up on us. We are excited to walk around and get a closer look. So far things are going well... except for the scary giant bugs!

Our Life Lately
Here are a few updates of what's been going on here lately:
Jarom is beginning to enjoy bath time more. He seems to like to have his hair washed. Also if you notice his belly button has some dark color to it. He has an umbilical granuloma (scar tissue from the umbilical cord that oozes) so we took him to the doctor and they put some stuff on it to help it to fall off.As a result of having to go to the doctor again he was weighed again and he has grown. He is up to 10 lb. 8.5 oz. He is on a roll!

Busy
We've been busy these past 3 weeks. We've had two grandma's come to play.
We've eaten lots of ice cream!
Jarom turned 3 weeks old! (We love his crazy hair! It is curly after a bath and so if you don't comb it right away, this is what you get!)
We have had a very fun and busy three weeks! Time flies when you're having fun!

Yeah!
For my mom and dad's anniversary present, they got a Wii. So, now we have a Wii!. I am really excited. The first day home, ( I was at girls camp), I unlocked all the games for the training. They got an expensive present just because they missed getting a present last year. lol. See you in about 2/3 weeks!
