My Cookie!

I love my cookie. I don't know when I will eat it though. I think it will be REALLY yummy! I can't wait to eat it. My family went to Grandma's house last night while Brad was at Knotts Berry Farm for a school thing called CJSF. That is a service thing, so they went to Knott's. While my mom, dad, and I were at Grandma's house, I mad a giant cookie. Here it is....

We have cute toes!

As per normal Whelchel conversation I do have to say that I have cute feet, regardless of my funky tan lines! :) Paisley's feet are pretty cute too.

News, News, News!

We have new news! Grace graduated from preschool! Now she is headed to Kindergarten! The rest of us are looking forward to the last day of school next week and on to a summer of unlimited fun and frolic! excepting, of course, for all of the weeding we are doing in the gardens. Yes, plural because everyone one wanted one of their own. we are all headed to Ut for a family reunion. Vallen is headed to Aunti Leslee's for two weeks of swim lessons, James and Mike are going to Scout Camp, Lizzy is finally taking tumbling and Grace is still our prima ballerina for the summer.

I'm posting pictures on Tracy's blog so look there. We love you.

Anything New?

Just wondering if there has been anything new going on with our family that we havn't heard about. So, if you will post things that have been new under the comment section, I would really apreciate it. Thanks.

Suggestion ....

On the other blog, I have posted a link on the top left side of the blog to the Haralson blog and the Whelchel blog. If Stefanie will post a link to the Haralson blog and the "our family" blog on here then everyone should be able to navigate pretty easily through all of the family blogs. Once again, only those who were given permission to access the blogs will have access so privacy on the other blog is intact.

Don't forget the OTHER blog, please!

It seems that noone except Jen and I and Lewis are posting on the other blog. Oh lest I forget, Martissa too. I sure hope everyone is looking there for family news as well as here! Remember there are TWO blogs.

Paisley's Cute Quote of the Day

So by 9 am I already had a cute conversation with Paisley that I just HAD to post! This is how it went:

I was folding some of Wubbzy's freshly laundered clothes and she was watching me. I got to the last outfit that was a pair of overalls and she said
"Wubbzy is going to wear hosen? (as in lederhosen) I laughed pretty hard and said, "No, these aren't lederhosen, they are called overalls, but they do kind of look like lederhosen." I then gave her a big squeeze and a kiss.

Isn't that the cutest? Now I don't think that it is common knowledge for any 3 year old to know about lederhosen. It made me very happy at that moment that she has been to Germany and seen real lederhosen in the flesh and that what she learned well over a year ago has stuck with her. I love having a cultured 3 year old! She is a smarty pants!

Happy Birthday Taryn!

Yeah! I am finally 12 years old! This year I can get to go to girls camp. I can't wait. For the young women in our ward we are having a beach over-nighter. That is going to be when we get to learn how to build/make a camp fire because our girls camp is surrounded by trees this year.

Small Town Fun

The second weekend in May is always huge around here! It's called All Schools Day. Today is a holiday. There is no work, just play around here. Yesterday we went to a show at the high school. All the cheerleaders, dance companies, baton twirlers, karate people and such from the county come together and they put on a show for everyone. It was a blast. We had fun watching some of Paisley's friends dance in the show. This morning we woke up bright and early to claim our spot for the parade. We had a lot of fun eating junk food and watching all the floats and bands. (Despite the face, Paisley really is having fun.)

(Paisley was a little unsure at first, but she eventually had fun on the merry go round.)

After the parade as per tradition we walked over to the carnival. Paisley rode the Merry Go Round twice. Jason played skee-ball and won the stuffed green dog and some friends won so many prizes they gave the blow up hammer to Paisley. Tonight we still have fireworks to enjoy and tomorrow a petting zoo! We sure love All Schools Day weekend!!

Be Back in 5 Days:Gone Fishing

My dad just left on a fishing trip in Oregon. He is fishing with Curt:cousin, Alex:cousin-in-law, MAYBE my Uncle Howard, and I think a couple of other family members. I will make sure my dad posts some pictures of the fish he caught when he gets back. (He went Halibut, and I'm not sure about rock-fish). So, ya. Can't wait to see most of you at the family reunion! Bye!!!
